Nefarious Backup Terms of Service

• Collection of configured text-channel history into a durable archive on operator storage.
• Scheduled daily snapshots and operator-triggered copies, including supported image files, role definitions and ban records.
• Resumable webhook mirroring into a backup Discord server, using author display names and avatars.
• Operator-controlled restoration of saved messages and supported metadata. Full member nickname and role backup is optional and currently disabled.

The bot is intended for Nefarious-operated servers. Command access is limited to allow-listed user IDs. Installation, hosting, archive access and restore operations require authorization from the operator; public access to these terms does not authorize those activities.

Operators must have authority to back up the configured channels, provide appropriate notice, respect collection restrictions and handle privacy requests. Having administrative permissions does not remove obligations to Discord users or override Discord’s rules.

Users must meet Discord’s minimum age and any higher minimum that applies where they live. The application is not an independent paid backup service or a promise that all community content will be retained.

Authors retain their rights in their content. Operators may copy, store and display content only to the extent they have the necessary authority and only for the disclosed recovery function. These terms do not grant rights in another person’s content that an operator does not already hold.

Copies may include message text, embeds, images, author identifiers and profile information. The Privacy Policy explains the historical archive, snapshot rotation and manual request process. Continued server membership is not treated by these terms as a waiver of privacy rights.

Do not publish archive contents, use them for harassment or sell them. Send deletion, privacy, security or abuse reports to Business@nefarious.trading.

Restore commands can purge and repost destination-channel contents and attempt to reapply nicknames, role assignments and bans. They must be used only by authorized operators after reviewing the destination and selected snapshot.

• A restore cannot recreate server membership or guarantee exact role permissions, role positions, reactions, threads, pins or attachment availability.
• Missing permissions, Discord outages, API limits, excluded channels, failed downloads and incomplete scans can leave gaps.
• Source edits and deletions are not automatically synchronized into existing archive copies.
• Image downloads have a configured size limit, and non-image files are not downloaded by the current serializer.
• The destination’s permissions determine who can read mirrored content. Operators must maintain those permissions and limit access to recovery records.

• Do not bypass command restrictions, obtain credentials, impersonate users or run unauthorized restore operations.
• Do not use the archive for surveillance, profiling, data resale, advertising, harassment or AI model training.
• Do not collect or redistribute content unlawfully, evade Discord restrictions or use this application to bypass another user’s privacy choices.
• Follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.

We may pause or discontinue the service, restrict access, exclude channels or remove stored records for operational, security, legal or platform-policy reasons. Retention and deletion remain subject to applicable obligations. Do not rely on this bot as the sole copy of important information.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of completeness, uninterrupted operation, successful restoration, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses arising from use of this application, including lost data or interrupted operations. For claims relating specifically to this application, our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of US $50 or the amounts paid specifically for this application in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

These limits do not exclude liability or remedies that applicable law does not allow us to exclude, including mandatory consumer and privacy rights. Nothing in these terms excuses unauthorized use or disclosure of personal information.

Discord operates its own platform independently. These terms do not imply endorsement or approval by Discord and do not override its terms. The site terms apply to the broader Nefarious service; these bot-specific terms describe this application.
