Neil

Neil trades crypto with a heavy long bias, buying support and resistance flips at current market price. His targets are drawn on the attached chart rather than typed out, his stops are candle closes below a level rather than a price touch, and every result is reported in R, the multiple of what was risked. Winners get scaled out with a runner left for the bigger move.

( 02 โ€” HOW HE TRADES )

How he trades

  1. 01The chart is half the alertTPs in white means the take-profit levels are drawn on the attached image, not written in the text. If you are reading the text alone you do not have the trade; open the chart.
  2. 02His stops are closes, not touches4H close under 0.425 for stops means the trade is only stopped if a 4-hour candle closes below that level. A wick through it does not count. This keeps him in trades that shake others out, and it means your exchange stop order does not replicate his rule.
  3. 03Results are in R2R means the trade made twice what was risked; 12R twelve times. It says nothing about percent gain without knowing the risk. To follow him properly, define your risk per trade first, then R means the same thing for you as for him.
  4. 04DCA levels are planned, not panicMany entries come with a pre-set average-down level. If the DCA fills, his average moves and follow-ups reference the new average. Only mirror the DCA if you left room for it at entry.
  5. 05Runners are where the big R comes fromThe headline results come from the last piece of a position held long after the first targets, with the stop at breakeven. Scaling fully out at TP1 gives you a different, smaller version of his results.

( 03 โ€” ALERT FORMAT )

What his alerts look like

Opening a long

โ€œGoing long PIXEL here at CMP. TPs above, DCA @ 0.004409, 4H close under 0.00425 for stopsโ€

Entry at current market price, targets on the attached chart, a planned average-down level, and a close-based stop rule rather than a hard stop price.

Taking profit

โ€œTP1 hit on VVV and we up nicely, 2.5R hereโ€

First target filled at two and a half times the risked amount. Expect the stop to move to breakeven on the remainder.

Closing a runner

โ€œETH long runner FULLY CLOSED here at 30Rโ€

The final slice of a position exited far above the first targets. Runners are a small fraction of the original size; the R multiple is real but the position was mostly closed earlier.

( 04 โ€” BEFORE YOU FOLLOW )

Notes and warnings

  • Close-based stops cannot be set as a normal stop order. You either watch the candle closes yourself or accept that your hard stop will sometimes take you out of trades he stays in.
  • R multiples are not percentages. A 30R headline on a runner is a multiple of the risk on a small remaining piece, not a 30x account gain.
  • He also takes spot positions with no leverage for slower ideas, flagged as spot in the alert.
